A father, 41-years-old, was arrested for allegedly raping his 11-year-old daughter in southern Maldives.
Maldives Police Service did not disclose the atoll or the island of incident to protect the minors identity.
The police said the father was arrested on Thursday in connection with the case, which was reported on Wednesday last week.
The alleged was remanded in custody for five days.
While the Police are currently investigating the incident, no further details of the case have been made public yet.
