Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has opened enrollment into both branches of the school, located in capital Male' City and Hulhumale', to offer A' level education for those seeking higher secondary studies in Male' region.
The long standing higher secondary education facility had relocated to a new school building established in Hulhumale' after ceasing studies at their timeworn premise in Male' in August, 2023. Ministry of Education recently decided to renovate the CHSE school building in Male' and resume lessons there as well.
The decision to offer education from both branches was reached to resolve challenges faced by students over operating the school solely in Hulhumale'.
Minister of Education, Dr Ismail Shafeeu said during an earlier interview with Mihaaru News that the Male' facility will offer education for 600 students in one session, with a slot of 1,200 offered for two shifts.
The lack of a state facility offering A' Level education in Male' City had posed several challenges to students and parents alike, Minister Shafeeu noted.
The government aims to ease difficulties faced by over 400 higher secondary education students who commute from Male' to Hulhumale' each day to attend CHSE.
