A Nepalese man, Raj Kumar, who works as a crew member on the Seamax boat was reported missing last Monday night.
MNDF said that search operations via air and sea have been conducted in an area of 200 nautical miles around where he went missing, but it has not been successful.
Police have said that the crew on the boat realized Raj Kumar was missing while the boat had been travelling in the seas between Addu and Fuvahmulah, 8 miles away from Fuvahmulah.
The boat had left Addu at about 23:30 hrs that night, at which time the crew had seen Raj Kumar aboard. He had spoken with the boat's captain even two hours later, at about 01:15 hrs.
