The group stage matches of the Golden Futsal Challenge 2025 for Shaviyani Atoll and Alifu Alifu Atoll have concluded, and the semi-final teams have been confirmed.
Before last night's matches, three semifinal teams from Shaviyani Atoll had already been confirmed. These were Milandhoo, Bilehfahi, and the most recent champion, Kanditheemu. Narudhoo secured the last semifinal spot from this atoll.
Narudhoo drew 2-2 with Goidhoo in Group B of Shaviyani Atoll last night. While both Narudhoo and Goidhoo earned four points from three matches, Narudhoo advanced to the semi-finals as the group's second-place team due to superior goal difference. Bilehfahi, who won all three matches, topped this group. They defeated Lhaimagu 7-1 last night.
Milandhoo placed first in Group A by winning all three matches. They defeated the most recent atoll champion, Kanditheemu, 2-0 last night. Kanditheemu, who had earned six points from their first two matches, finished second in the group. The most recent Shaviyani Atoll runner-up, Feydhoo, defeated Maroshi 4-0 last night. However, they had to end their tournament in third place with three points.
Shaviyani Atoll's semi-final matches are scheduled for next Monday evening. The first semi-final will be between Milandhoo and Narudhoo, while the second semi-final will feature Bilehfahi against Kanditheemu.
In Alifu Alifu Atoll, Rasdhoo and Bodufolhudhoo from Group B had already secured their semi-final spots before last night's matches.
The match between Rasdhoo and Bodufolhudhoo ended in a 0-0 draw, with both teams earning seven points. The most recent atoll runner-up, Bodufolhudhoo, topped the group on goal difference. Maalhos finished third in this group after defeating Feridhoo 7-3 last night to earn three points.
In Group A, the most recent Alifu Alifu Atoll champion, Mathiveri, secured their semi-final spot as group winners with nine points from three matches after defeating Himandhoo 4-0 last night. Thoddoo earned the second semifinal spot with six points after beating Ukulhas 4-2 last night. While Ukulhas finished the tournament without any points, Himandhoo took third place in the group.
Alifu Alifu Atoll's semi-final matches will be played next Sunday night. The first semi-final will be between Mativerhi and Rasdhoo, while the second semi-final will be played between Bodufolhudhoo and Thoddoo.
The tournament will continued today with atoll round matches both in the evening and at night. Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll and Faafu Atoll matches played in the evening. Tonight's matches featured Noonu Atoll, Seenu Atoll, as well as Vaavu Atoll and Meemu Atoll matches.
