Three people have been involved in an accident that took place in a dark road in Fuvahmulah and sustained various injuries. One of the involved individuals is in serious condition and recieiving treatment in the ICU.
Two accidents have occurred in Fuvahmulah and one of the individuals involved has sustained serious injuries.
A media official of the Maldives Police Service stated that all three people involved had suffered various levels of injuries during the accident that occurred when two motorcycles collided. The official stated that one of these individuals is undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to the severity of his injuries.
"The remaining two were also injured to various extents," said the Official.
Police stated that the accident occurred near the Fuvahmulah Airport after the motorcycle lost control and began sliding on the road after attempting to bypass a snapped decorative arch in the area.
The individual had sustained injuries to his head as well.
The Official stated that the road was dark amid the occurrence of the accident which had also caused difficulties to the vehicles.
