Maldives Immigration has said that in the past four months their online complaint submittal portal 'Immigration Watch' has received 1,017 reports.
Immigration Watch was launched on July 17 this year.
The 1017 reports concern 17 different issues, with illegal businesses run by expatriates being the most commonly reported.

- Work Visa violation: 239 case
- Prostitution: 65 cases
- Missing persons: 41 cases
- Tourist Visa violations: 14 cases
- Employment / sponsor breach: 12
- Criminal / character concerns: 11
- Visa violation: 12
- Drug abuse / trafficking: 10
- Public Health risk: 8
- Human trafficking: 7
- Illegal forex transactions: 7
- Money laundering: 3
- Border intelligence: 3:
- Document fraud: 1
- Labour exploitation: 1
- Other: 37
