In a special ceremony held last night to mark Majeedhiya School's anniversary, the President said that the construction of these new premises is included within next year's school development plans.
This building will be built on the site where Dharumavantha School was earlier located, adjacent to Majeedhiya School.
The President said that the building would have 40 classrooms. some of which would be the first smart classrooms introduced in the country.
He also said that Majeedhiya's pride, 'Dhaar-ul-Uloom' will be developed as an educational museum which exhibits the educational history of the Maldives.
