Ali Khalid to be reappointed as MD of PSM

Ali Khalid will be reappointed as the Managing Director of state-run Public Service Media (PSM), the President's Office revealed on Wednesday.

Ali Khalid's four year term as PSM's Managing Director expired on Sunday, followed by Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Shameem's term ending the next day.

The Spokesperson at the President's Office Miuvaan Mohamed said that the Privatisation Board will officially appoint Ali Khalid for a second term as PSM's MD.

However, Shameem has been appointed as an Under Secretary at the President's Office, he said.

While PSM currently has five members on its board, the company's regulations state that members of the board can be appointed for a four year term.

Following Ali Khalid's end of term as Managing Director, PSM is now headed by its Procurement Director Mohamed Saeed.
