The Lhaviyani zone matches of the Dhiraagu Tekkers Resort Futsal Cup 2024 has kicked off in Le Méridien Maldives Resort and Spa on Friday.
During the first match of the zone, hosts Le Méridien had won against Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives with a score of 2-0.
The title of best player in this match was conferred to Ahmed Suhail of Le Méridies.
Besides Le Méridien and Kanifushi, Six Senses Kanuhura will also compete in the zone tournament. The team to finish in top will advance directly into the finals while the second and third ranking teams are set to battle it out in the semifinals to secure the remaining spot in the finals.
Atmosphere Kanifushi and Six Senses Kanuhura are scheduled to compete today, with Le Méridien and Kanuhura set to face off on Sunday. The outcome of these matches will determine which team secures a direct spot in the finals.
The semifinals of the zone is slated for Tuesday next week with the finals scheduled for Thursday.
