Fitness test to be conducted for PG office employees

A fitness test has been included in the firms evaluation of the Prosecutor General's (PG) Office.

An evaluation test is conducted at least once a year to monitor the performance and effectiveness of the office's staff.

In a blog post by Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem, he said that the fitness test conducted from this year onwards will look at heart health, physical fitness, flexibility and BMI.

Passing criteria for employees will be considered based on their age and treatments for long-term medical conditions.

Police and MNDF currently regularly conduct fitness tests. Shameem said that these authorities duties involve physical exertion whereas, the work done at the Prosecutor General's Office are only mentally taxing.

In his blog, Shameem also said that mental agility is reinforced by a healthy body.
