Over a million photographs found in the hard drive of the man arrested over leaking private photographs on social media.

Mohamed Masaaid Bin Sameeu, 36, was arrested in August and is being accused of committing cyber crime. His detention order states that Police has found over a million photographs and various personal files on two of his hard drives, each with a storage space of one terabyte.

Police has so far confiscated ten hard drives that belong to Masaaid. They include seven hard drives found at his home and two hard drives they found at his workplace an the hard drive of his computer program.

Since this is crime that includes numerous victims, state prosecutors said that the nature of the crime infringes on the name and dignity of an individual, as is guaranteed by the constitution.

Masaaid's legal representation argued that as he does not have a prior criminal record, he should be released on court mandated conditions. They further stated this was affecting his employment.

However state prosecutors objected as cybercrime can be committed at home as well. They argued for him to stay under detention.

Judge Adam Mohamed had decided to extend his detention by an additional six days.
