Government has appointed Abdulla Ziyad as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
Ziyad has previously held various senior official positions in previous governments. He is a former Senior Engineer of the Ministry of Housing, Transport and Environment, and filled the State Minister position in two ministries; the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure and Ministry of Environment and Energy.
The new MTCC MD attained higher education in Engineering Management field from Bahrain University.
Adam Azim was the most recent CEO and MD of MTCC, who was appointed during the former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration.
President Dr. Muizzu, who took oath of office on November 17, has been proactively appointing new Managing Directors to state-owned enterprises (SOEs) since he took charge.
