Three international experts will be delivering keynote addresses at thus year's International Conference on Intellectual Advancement (ICIA) organized by the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM).
The conference will start tomorrow and proceed through Sunday next week at IUM.
One of the most notable keynote speakers attending this year's conference is former Minister of Education of Malaysia Dr Maszlee Malik.
Malik will be speaking on environmental conservation and sustainability in an Islamic perspective.
He has previously served as a Member of Parliament. He has also served at general council member of International Islamic University of Bangladesh, Professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in South Korea, Associate Professor at International Islamic University of Malaysia, and Professor at University of Cyberjaya.
Also amongst keynote speakers are Professor Philip Hallinger from the US and Tichaona Mhererwa from South Africa.
Hallinger's address will be delivered online, and will cover sustainable development and leadership.
Hallinger is a Global Talent Professor in the College of Management at the Mahidol University in Thailand. He is one of two leading scholars in the world recognized as innovators in leadership development. He also leads a PhD program in Sustainable Leadership.
Mhererwa is the founder and Principal Consultant of Canvas dot Africa. He has established a University Management System to manage accommodation and exam schedules at the University of Zimbabwe through the use of AI.
Mhererwa has expertise in the area of Artificial Intelligence in Large Language Models Strategies, Cloud Engeneering and Artificial Intelligence driven automation.
The ACIA is one of the largest education conferences held in the Maldives, and has been held annually since 2016.
