Two tourists holidaying in Maldives passes away in separate incidents over the last two days.
According to the police, a 32 year old Ukraine man had passed away on Wednesday in a drowning incident. This case was reported to the police around noon that day.
On Tuesday, a five year old child from Russia had also passed away. They were in a swimming pool when the incident happened. He was taken to the Faafu Atoll Hospital in Nilandhoo and declared dead by the time.
Police have not given any further information on any of the incidents.
