Moomina Hussain Fulhu, mother of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has passed away this morning.
After days of illness, Moomina passed away at 80 years of age while seeking treatment at the ADK Hospital.
Moomina had taken residence in Sri Lanka before her return to Maldives during the early stages of her son, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration.
Besides the former President, Moomina was also the mother of former MP of Hulhudhoo Constituency, Ali Niyaz, Principal of Majeedhiya School, Aminath Solih, and Fathimath Solih, who worked at the President's Office as Personal Secretary to two different Presidents.
Moomina has 12 children, including 3 Hafiz who has learnt the holy Quran by heart.
