President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Wednesday commenced a two-day trip to Raa Atoll.
He arrived in Meedhoo in the morning, where he was warmly received by the residents.
According to the President's Office, President Solih will meet with council members and senior institutional representatives from Meedhoo during the visit. He is also scheduled to hold discussions with Ungoofaaru Island Council later the same day.
President Solih's second stop is to Alifushi, where he will meet the island council and senior institutional representatives, followed by a sit-down with North Maalhosmadulu Atoll Council.
The president is further scheduled to joint the Golden Jubilee celebration of Alifushi School late Wednesday, where he will unveil a special monument to mark the occasion.
