Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer, during his ongoing visit to the UAE, has handed over a letter from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu addressed to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the UAE's Foreign Minister.
Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer, during his ongoing visit to the United Arab Emirates, has handed over a letter from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu addressed to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the UAE's Foreign Minister.
The Foreign Ministry stated that during this trip, Zameer met with the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
No details of the President's letter were provided.
In the meeting, they discussed further strengthening the long-standing close relationship between the Maldives and the UAE, as well as increasing collaborative efforts in the international arena. The Ministry said Zameer also expressed gratitude for the UAE's close relationship with the Maldives and the continuous assistance provided.
Accompanying Zameer at the meeting were the Maldivian Ambassador to the UAE Mohamed Hussain Shareef, Ambassador-at-Large Ahmed Naseer, Bilateral Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, Joint Secretary Mariyam Reesha, and the Deputy Ambassador of the Maldives Embassy in the UAE, Hassan Waheed.
