Maldives Post Office has asked customers to stay aware of scam messages being sent in its name.
The post office said that the scam message claims it is a notice of delivery failure from the office and asks customers to click on a link to verify postal address. The message includes the item's tracking number.
The link directs to a page showing a fake tracking number and delivery update. It also asks for a delivery fee to be paid.
The Post Office advises customers to disregard such messages, and to ensure not to click on any links forwarded through them. They request customers to report any such messages to them.
