Three sentenced to prison for extortion

Three individuals have been sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison for luring persons into a house in Male', stripping them and extorting money from them.

Charges were pressed against Aishath and Mohamed Reehan of Ma. Masfan and Shafeeq Ibrahim of Soma, Seenu Hithadhoo, for luring a man inside Ma. Masfan, stripping him and forcing him to give up the PIN number of his cash card, and so stealing money from him.
