The opposition candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu)'s spokesperson Mariya Ahmed Didi revealed that MDP has still not received detailed information from the authorities.
Mariya stated that steps must be taken ahead of voting day based on the information they have now rather than wait for it to happen.
She called on the Police to strengthen the security measures based on the current intelligence reports and information that the police have.
On September 11, Police spokesperson Ahmed Shifan stated that the authority had received intelligence reports of attacks that were planned to be executed throughout the country ahead of the September 23rd elections.
According to the Police, the threats include that of arson attacks, vandalism and even murder.
