A Police Media Official said that that the accident occurred around 19:30 hrs tonight.
The four persons injured have been taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for treatment.
No further details have been disclosed yet, while Police remain active at the scene.
The hospital also has not revealed details of injuries sustained by the victims.
A photo shared on social media by Marine Police show that one of the speedboats involved in the accident belongs to Grand Park Kodhipparu, and has sustained severe damage.
