The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched an app that transcribes audio from Dhivehi to text.

The app "Kaathibu" was launched by retired Superintendent of Investigation of ACC, Abdul Azeez Moosa.

ACC stated that the application, which transcribes speech from Dhivehi to text, will streamline the process of typing statements taken during investigations, thereby reducing time spent. Additionally, it will significantly speed up writing the commission's minutes of meetings.

The ACC had used the app for approximately four months before launching. The app has the capacity to transcribe Dhivehi speech into text in real time.

The app is a part of the ACC's initiative to digitize and automate the commission's functions, according to the statement by the ACC. Developed by Syntax Pvt. Ltd., the company is also in the process of enhancing the app with additional features, including statement summarization.
