Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has announced that five commercial spaces from the flat towers they are building in Hulhumale' Phase 2 are up for lease.
Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has announced that five commercial spaces from the flat towers they are building in Hulhumale' Phase 2 are up for lease.
This is the first time that commercial flats from the towers with 4000 flats are being put up for rent.
Last November, the corporation said that the 32 units will have 127 commercial spaces. This includes spaces dedicated for retail shops, supermarkets, hypermarkets, cafe's, restaurants, clinics, offices, and a fruit and vegetable market.
The five spaces now open for lease are meant for retail shops and grocery shops.
In the the announcement, FDC said that interested parties must submit proposals before February 18.
The spaces up for rent are:
- a 610 sqft space in Amaan Udhares 13
- a 599 sqft space in Amaan Udhares 13
- a 1,896 sqft and 161 sqft space in Amaan Udhares 14
- a 6,788 sqft space in Amaan Udhares 14
- a 1,896 sqft and 161 sqft space in Amaan Udhares 16
Priority will be given to new start ups when leasing these spaces targeted for small and medium enterprises, they said.
Space on the ground and first floors of each of these FDC flats are reserved for commercial use.
The corporation said that this has been done to ensure that basic services are available at close proximity for those living in the flats. FDC estimates that the flats will accommodate around 30,000 residents.
