President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with President of India Droupadi Murmu at the Presidential Palace, Rashtrapati Bhavan, yesterday.
President Murmu said at the meeting that Maldives is a key partner of India, highlighting Maldives' importance as a member of India's Neighbourhood First Policy as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Security and Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR) vision.
President Murmu stated that India's assistance towards Maldives' development is targeted towards posing benefits for the people of the country, especially noting upon the ongoing Greater Male' Connectivity Project.
President Muizzu extended thanks to President Murmu for the invitation to undertake the State visit.
The two Presidents reiterated the commitment towards cooperation and maintaining positive relations between the countries.
