Statistics find that women have longer life expectancy than men in Maldives

Maldives Bureau of Statistics has revealed that the life expectancy of women is longer than that of a man in Maldives, with the the average lifespan of a woman transcending that of a man by nearly seven years.

Maldives Bureau of Statistics has revealed that the average life expectancy of women is longer than that of a man in the Maldives.

Speaking at the Maldives Finance Forum organized by Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO) yesterday, Chief Statistician of Maldives Bureau of Statistics Aishath Hassan revealed during her presentation that the latest statistics has found that the median age of the Maldivian population is now 80 years. In review of these numbers, the average lifespan of a woman transcends that of a man by nearly seven years, she elaborated.
