Women in Management Maldives operates as part of an international organization, presenting its annual Professional and Career Woman Awards to recognize and celebrate outstanding women across various fields in Maldives.
Women in Management Maldives, an organization dedicated to empowering women, has awarded Mihaaru News journalist Asima Nizar the Leadership Excellence Award in Media category at its Professional and Career Woman Awards.
Asima began her journalism career in December 2014 at Haveeru newspaper. Following the closure of Haveeru in 2016, she continued working alongside its journalists at Mihaaru News.
Over her decade-long career, Asima has focused on covering a range of social issues, with her reports often driving positive societal change.
She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Maldives Journalists Association (MJA).
