President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Tuesday, appointed Mohamed Shihab as Advisor to the President and Mohamed Mahir Easa as Minister of State for Home Affairs.
Official letters of appointment were presented to the two individuals at a ceremony held at the President's Office.
Shihab previously served as a parliamentarian, Speaker of Parliament and Malé City Mayor. He also held a ministerial position.
Mohamed Mahir Easa was formerly the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and also held the position of Atoll Councillor for Faadhippolhu Atoll.
