President Abdulla Yameen on Tuesday congratulated the ten students who achieved the top position in the world in various subjects, in the GCE A'Level examinations in October 2017 and January 2018.
In separate letters to each student, the president declared that their success was a great achievement for the nation, and expressed confidence that they would achieve greater accomplishments in the future.
The students who achieved the top positions in the world are:
- Aishath Aala Iqbal, Addu High School - 1st place in Accounting
- Aiman Ibrahim, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Accounting
- Aminath Ibana Shahid, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Business Studies
- Asiyath Aqsa Afeef, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Economics
- Hassan Saraah, Villa International High School - 1st place in Business Studies
- Husham Abdul Hameed, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Accounting
- Hussain Rafaan Saeed, Addu High School - 1st place in Accounting
- Ibrahim Shaadhin Mohamed, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Accounting
- Mariyam Azhaa Ibrahim, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Physics and 1st place in Chemistry
- Mariyam Insha Ziyad, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Accounting and 1st place in Economics
