Maldivian man who went missing ten days ago in Sri Lanka was found on Wednesday.
Foreign Ministry said Ibrahim Ali, 62, was found in a Sri Lankan hospital getting medical treatment. There were no visible injury on his body.
“A consular staff member was able to identify him in a hospital in Colombo. We were going to all the hospitals in the area in an attempt to locate him,” the ministry said.
His whereabouts had been unknown since May 3. Prior to that, the last known location he had gone was a mosque in Dehiwala, Colombo.
A man that knew Ibrahim said he went to Sri Lanka on his own.
Mortuaries in Sri Lanka was also searched in an attempt to locate him.
