Applications open for Tree Top Nursing Scholarship

Applications have been opened for Treetop Hospital's Nursing Scholarship.

Under the scholarship program conducted jointly by Tree Top and Villa College, seven eligible student nurses will be given the opportunity to pursue diploma and undergraduate degrees free of charge.

According to the hospital, the purpose of the scholarship is to create young local talents, empower nurses in the education sector, and expand services.

Treetop said it sees it as an opportunity for students who want to pursue higher education in the health sector.

Villa College opened their September intake for two courses in nursing; Bachelor of Science (Hons) Nursing (International) top-up and Diploma in Nursing. Seven participants of the two courses will receive Tree Top Scholarships. These include 2 slots from their Bachelors program and 5 slots from their Diploma program.

Scholarships will be awarded to Maldivian students who have completed the admission process of Villa College. Students studying in another college or those that are studying under a scholarship will not be eligible for this opportunity.

Students interested in participating in the program will be able to register by emailing [email protected] with the application form before 5:00 pm on September 19. Seven students are currently studying nursing at the expense of the hospital under the Treetop Nursing Scholarship.

With the commencement of Tree Top Hospital services, efforts are underway to find registered nurses and mid-wife nurses to expand their services.
