One of the most coveted events in the Maldives, the Ooredoo 'Mas Race' has kicked off on 12th April, Tuesday after a two-year hiatus.
The immensely popular fishing event from Ooredoo Maldives went into temporary halt in 2020 following the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, and remained in limbo in the following year as well.
Ooredoo Maldives attests that a total of 23 teams are competing in the 2022 edition while the event will take place on Tuesdays and Saturdays every week during Ramadan except for the final ten days of the Islamic sacred month.
The winning team will receive a prize money of MVR50,000 while the best fisherman of the event will receive a prize money of MVR5,000.
