Bank of Maldives (BML) plans to introduce QR code payments to the new mobile application

BML said they have received a lot of positive reactions from the public regarding their new application which was introduced and made available on Saturday. They plan to introduce new features to the application that will increase customer satisfaction, they said.

One of the new features on the application include confirming the name of the account is registered to before making a transaction. A "Quick Pay" option also has been introduced which allows for one to pay money without saving the account details.

The receipts for all transactions will be automatically saved with the new application. These receipts can be used to request for further services from BML.

CEO of BML Timothy Sawyer has said although only services requiring the internet can be used via the application, they plan to introduce digital wallet and additional payment functions to it within a week. These will make services even smoother than now, he said.
