Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure signed to award development projects of three islands on Monday.

In a special ceremony, the ministry awarded the second phase of harbour development at Keyodhoo, Vaavu Atoll, and development of the seawall at Naalaafushi, Meemu Atoll, to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The project to develop a jetty at Fulidhoo, Vaavu Atoll, was awarded to Inner Trading Company.

The agreements were signed by State Minister Mohamed Ibrahim on behalf of the housing ministry, while MTCC was represented by COO Ahmed Kurik Riza, and Inner Trading by Managing Director Ahmed Arif.

The expenses of the three projects amount to MVR 37.7 million, with MVR 20.3 million for Keyodhoo harbour's second phase of development, MVR 12.4 million for Naalaafushi's seawall, and MVR 4.9 million to develop Fulidhoo's jetty.

The projects are to be completed within 3-6 months.
