Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC)'s Deputy Managing Director, Bassam Adam has been appointed as the acting head of the corporation.
His appointment came following the dismissal of MMPRC Managing Director Fathmath Thaufeeq (Kudy) from her position. The exact reasons behind her dismissal have not been revealed as of yet.
While Fathmath Thaufeeq has been dismissed from her position, Chairperson of MMPRC Aisha Nurain Janah resigned from her post on Tuesday night.
Reports suggest that there were extensive differences of opinion between Thaufeeq and the board of directors of MMPRC. For a number of days now, there has been discord amongst the board in relation to decisions of the company regarding expenses for various planned activities.
