President implores students to avoid being someone who would 'leave the arena in defeat'

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has entreated students to not leave the arena in defeat and adopt the resolve to face all hurdles.

Speaking at a ceremony held at Majeediyya School last night to unveil a monument in commemoration of the school's anniversary, the President stressed that each student must instill in their hearts the resolve to stand brave and fearless in the face of all challenges.

"That I won't become someone who leaves the arena in defeat. That instead, I am here with the resolve to face any challenges posed and rise past each barrier," said the President.

"Mindsets must be changed. Each Maldivian citizen should resolve to move forward with what they want to do in their life. By God's Will, success in all things will be assured as a result."

President Muizzu further asserted that each person must strive to fulfil all and any responsibilities conferred over them to the extent of their abilities. God willed for all to work to the limits of their capability with wisdom, he added, emphasizing that striving towards this path will ensure future success.

"Success can be achieved if [everyone] works hard with a fierce resolve; there will no insurmountable difficulties or challenges," he assured.

The President said each citizen must embrace the resolution to contribute - and become someone of value - to the community alongside the nation, highlighting that the larger problems in the country will be resolved as a result.
