Champion Lanka stays true to title, wins game against Bhutan

Sri Lanka cements their status, with a win against Bhutan in the SABA Women's Championship. The second game of the championship, played on Monday evening, September 26, saw the previous championship's winner in strong form.

The game ended with Lanka inching close to a 100 points in a single game. Though Bhutan showed valiant effort, the game concluded with a 33-98 win, a staggering 65 lead for Lanka.

Lanka plays a powerful, fast-paced game which was evident during Monday evening's match. The team made brilliant use of its most experienced players to lead the game against their opponents.

First two quarters of the game concluded with Lanka securing 39 points, whereas Bhutan had struggled to score 17 points.

The whopping score difference, and the high score grants Lanka top spot on the championship table.

The previous championship's winners will go against Nepal on Tuesday, September 27.
