President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Tuesday appointed Visam Ali as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Maldives to Malaysia.
During a ceremony held at the President's Office, President Solih presented her with official credentials of appointment.
Visam previously served as the legislator for Maduvvari constituency.
During former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom's administration, Visam led the Ministry of Higher Education and Training.
