President Solih conveys Pakistan Day greetings to President, PM

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Saturday, conveyed messages to Pakistan's President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi, on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

March 23, celebrated annually as Pakistan Day, commemorates the passing of the Lahore Resolution in 1940, and the adoption of Pakistan's first constitution in 1956.

In the two messages sent separately, President Solih extended felicitations to the Pakistani government and the country's citizens in addition to President Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan. The day's greetings were delivered on behalf of himself, the government and the Maldivian people.

President Solih stated that the long-standing diplomatic relationship between Maldives and Pakistan was built on shared values, mutual understanding, and common interests in bilateral and regional spheres.

Additionally, the president also reiterated Maldives' commitment to cooperate with the Pakistani government to further develop the bilateral ties between the two countries.
