President Solih to visit Addu for 'Agenda 19' campaign

Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) announced that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will depart to Addu City on Friday, March 8, to partake in the parliamentary election campaign activities.

MDP's Deputy Secretary General Afshan Latheef stated that former President Mohamed Nasheed will also partake and accompany the president during the activities that are to take place from March 8 - 10.

Afshan revealed that President Solih will be present across various special events spanning the multiple constituencies of Addu.

According to local media Mihaaru, MDP's parliamentary election campaign 'Agenda 19' is scheduled to begin from the southernmost atoll of Addu. It is speculated that President Solih's visit is to inaugurate MDP's bid for parliament.

Although the campaign is yet to officially commence, MDP is conducting various activities regarding the parliamentary elections throughout the archipelago.
