Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Commerce and Investment of Saudi Arabia Dr Majid Bin Abdullah Al Qasabi.
Minister Al Qasabi warmly welcomed Minister Shahid, and discussed avenues on expanding cooperation in the commercial field between Maldives and Saudi Arabia.
Both Ministers discussed on increasing Saudi investments in Maldives and holding a networking forum for businesses in Riyadh.
Foreign Minister Shahid also thanked Minister Al Qasabi for the generous assistance Saudi Arabia continues to provide to the developmental projects of Maldives.
Minister Shahid was accompanied by the Secretary of Policy at President’s Office Aminath Shauna, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Shiaan and officials from the Foreign Ministry and the Embassy of Maldives in Saudi Arabia.
