Maumoon Reform Movement (MRM) announced via a tweet on Monday that Thazmeel Abdul Samadh was appointed as their spokesperson for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Thazmeel was appointed as the Managing Director of Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) in January.

Additionally, the tweet also disclosed that Mohamed Faisal was appointed as the Campaign Manager, whilst Mohamed Raaidh was assigned the position of Assistant Campaign Manager.

Faisal is the Deputy Ambassador from Maldives to Sri Lanka. Raaidh is the Managing Director of Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC).

While MRM has announced that they will be contesting in the parliamentary elections, forms were recently submitted to Elections Commission (EC) to register Maumoon Reform Movement as a new political party.
