The Elections Commission stated that 1256 complaints were made regarding the voter's list of the People’s Majlis elections that is scheduled to take place in April.
The Elections Commission had given a duration of over a week for the 264,589 voters to present all voter's list-related complaints.
Member of the Elections Commission Ahmed Ikram informed “Mihaaru” that most of the complaints were concerning changes in addresses and constituencies. He also stated that the Department of National Registration was made aware of the changes that were required.
The revised voter's list will be released to the public next Friday, and any further errors reported before the date are also to be rectified. Voting in representatives to sit for the 87 constituencies in the People’s Majlis is set to commence on 6th April, Saturday.
