A man was found dead in the fishing harbour near the market area of Male', the capital city on Wednesday.
The police reported that there were no external injuries visible on the body which was found at approximately 0600 hours. It is surmised that the man was an Indian national based on the documents found on his person.
Pictures that were taken while the body was being retrieved show that he had foamed around the mouth.
The police are currently investigating the case.
