A man was found dead on Saturday, in a house near the National Football Stadium in Capital Male.
Police revealed that the deceased man was identified to be Ibrahim Shahid, aged 36 and that his body was reported around 1657 hours.
Additionally, police estimated that Shahid had been dead for two days before being found. It was unknown whether he had been living alone.
Shahid was a former employee at State Electric Company Ltd (STELCO) in the General Maintenance department. He worked at STELCO for over a year. He left his job a month prior to his death.
This is the second person found dead in capital Male during this month.
