A President Action Committee consisting of five members was established on Thursday in order to provide counsel to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The committee consists of former Minister of Finance Ali Hashim, Former Minister of Economic Affairs Mahmoodh Raazee, Juveyria Saeedh, Mariyam Rifna and Zuruwath Abdul Majid.
President Solih met with the newly appointed committee members at the President's Office and instructed them to provide counsel on regarding issues he presented to it. Additionally, the committee will also give their input regarding the obstacles faced by the government.
The advisory body was also tasked with dealing with cases of politically motivated employment terminations made during the previous administration.
