The state received MVR 985 million, in November 2018, via Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).
According to the statistics released by MIRA, the MVR 985 million received by the state is a 5.3 percent increase in the expected sum of funds. It is also a 5.2 percent increase in comparison to the sum of money received by the state in November 2017.
As stated in the statistics by MIRA, the largest amount out of the total sum is classified as money received from Goods and Services Tax (GST). The GST is amounted at the sum of MVR 643 Million which makes up 65 percent of the total sum. The second largest amount out of the total sum is classified as money received as miscellaneous fees.
MIRA also highlighted that more than MVR 600 million out of the total sum of money, received in November 2018, was in US dollars. This amount is valued at USD 39 million.
