President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed State Ministers to nine Ministries, on Thursday.

The new appointees are;

- Hassan Shujau as Minister of State for Home Affairs

- Ismail Ali Manik as Minister of State for Finance

- Mohamed Ali as Minister of State for National Planning and Infrastructure

- Ali Solih as Minister of State for Communication, Science and Technology

- Ahmed Riyaz as Minister of State for Education

- Mohamed Ahmed as Minister of State for Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture

- Ahmed Nasheed as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development

- Ashadh Ali as Minister of State for Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment

- Fazna Shakir as Minister of State for Gender, Family and Social Services

The President presented the letter of appointments during the ceremony held at the President's Office.

President Solih's government has decided to appoint 39 State Ministers and 50 Deputy Ministers, out of which 29 State Ministers have already been appointed.
