President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih warned the ministers of his Cabinet against all acts of corruption.

He made the statement during the first Cabinet meeting of his government held Monday.

To fight against corruption and bribery is one of the major pledges Solih made during his presidential campaign for the September 23 election. As per his vow, the new president on his first day had formed a special commission on corruption and asset recovery, to investigate graft accusations against various state officials.

Speaking at the Cabinet meeting on Monday, President Solih urged his ministers to accomplish all the goals set for the first 100 days of his administration.

Information on the State Budget 2018 and 2019, along with profiles of state employees, and regulations, manuals and policies of government offices, was also disseminated during the meeting.

The president and the Cabinet further discussed ongoing and planned national projects, and committee findings as well.
