Maldives Broadcasting Commission has ruled in favour of the local broadcasting channel, Raajje TV in the case filed against them by the Department of Judicial Administration (DJA).
In a document sent to DJA, Broadcom asserted that the team of investigators unanimously agreed that the content aired by Raajje TV on October 31 did not violate the Broadcasting Code of Practice.
Raajje TV was claimed to have broadcasted a program which undermined respect for judges and the Maldivian legal system on October 31.
DJA filed a case against the broadcasting channel on the basis that they violated multiple principles under Rule One, Rule Three and Rule Five of the Broadcasting Code of Practice.
Raajje TV was also banned from reporting on all legal proceedings until the investigation concluded.
