President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih met with women entrepreneurs at his campaign office on Wednesday.
Businesswomen from various fields participated in the special sit-down, which presented the opportunity for female entrepreneurs to share their concerns and suggestions regarding their individual fields.
Some of the concerns they shared with Solih included the challenges women face in seeking initial seed capital, and the extent of political influence in the private sector.
They also requested the president-elect to establish a conducive environment for women in business, and to facilitate ways to work from home.
Solih also met with young entrepreneurs and the heirs of Maldives' business elite earlier this week.
